Smart Mind International School offers the Cambridge curriculum, allowing our students to learn using practical, real-world learning starting from the Early Years curriculum starting at the age of 3 years.

Cambridge curriculum: Cambridge Curriculum is a British curriculum that parents choose for their children as it has an emphasis on developing practical skills and real-world problem-solving skills, which can better prepare students for the demands of higher education and the workforce.

At Smart Mind we begin the education journey in Early Years, with students progressing into Primary (Years 3-7), then into Lower Secondary (Years 7-9) and to Secondary (Years 10-13).

Primary students will follow the Cambridge curriculum for English language, maths, science, computers and global perspectives. Additionally they will receive French and Amharic language classes, art, music and physical education.

In addition to those mentioned for the Primary students, secondary students have additional Cambridge curriculum courses to be determined, in business, economics, geography, history, art and music.

Assessment: Cambridge International's assessment approach is designed to be comprehensive, fair, and to promote deep learning. It's not just about testing what students know, but also how they can apply that knowledge, think critically, and solve problems. It supporting learning by providing meaningful feedback and ensuring that qualifications are a true reflection of a student's abilities and potential on an international scale.

At Smart Mind the Cambridge checkpoint examinations will be given in Years 6 and 9, while IGCSE examinations will be taken by all students in Year 11, and AS and A level examinations to be taken in Years 12 and 13.
